I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
It's National Ice Cream Day, so we're celebrating by sharing some fun ice cream facts, courtesy of factretriever.

Although early versions of the dessert appeared in ancient China and Rome, ice cream as we know it today was created in Italy when Catherina de’ Medici held a competition for new and unique dishes to be presented at court in 1600s Renaissance Florence.

The average cow produces enough milk over its lifetime to make 7,500 gallons of ice cream.

Tag an important Paul in your life!

History of National Paul Day
The name Paul, being of Latin origin, has been in existence since Roman times. Back during the Classical Age, if two people within a family had the same name, ‘Paul’ was used to distinguish the younger one.

As previously stated, the name is widespread within Christian culture and can be found across the globe in many countries and languages. Several early saints and no less than six popes also bore the name Paul.

The name used to be uncommon in the English-speaking world, but its popularity began steadily increasing during the 17th century — eventually reaching the top 20 most popular names in 1900, an honor the name retained for almost 70 years. Paul was also very popular amongst the German and French, and nowadays continues to be a common name there. The feminine versions of Paul are Paula, Pauline, Paulina, and Paulette.

There are many famous Pauls. Within the art world, famous bearers include the French impressionists Paul Cezanne (1839 to 1906) and Paul Gauguin (1848 to 1903), and the Swiss expressionist Paul Klee (1879 to 1940). In popular culture, there is Paul Newman (1925 to 2008) and the musicians, Paul Simon and Paul McCartney.

On July 4th, the U.S. Treasury Department announced the launch of the official Trump Accounts App, which allows American families a new way to view, manage, and grow their eligible child's retirement account.

The account is for a child who has not turned age 18 before the end of the calendar year in which the election is made and has a valid Social Security number. It features a pilot program contribution of $1,000 for children born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, and who are U.S. citizens with a valid Social Security number.

In addition, on Monday, June 29th, the IRS released Rev. Proc. 2026-25, which provides a gift tax reporting safe harbor for individual donors who make one or more contributions to Trump accounts under Sec. 530A and satisfy certain conditions.

If the conditions are met, contributions will be treated as completed gifts that are not future interests in property and to which the annual per-donee gift tax exclusion applies, the IRS said. Covered taxpayers will not have to file gift tax returns reporting these contributions.
