There’s been a lot of talk about "No Tax on Overtime," but if you noticed federal taxes still being withheld from your overtime, don’t panic!

The new law works as a deduction you claim when you file your taxes. For the 2025 tax year (the ones we are filing right now!), you can deduct part of the "overtime premium" portion of your pay.

The Quick Facts:

✅ It applies to the "half" in your time-and-a-half pay.
✅ It's for federal income tax (Social Security & Medicare still apply).
✅ There are income limits, so not everyone qualifies for the full amount.
