One of my favorite marketing holidays is Life Insurance Awareness Month, or September as you may know it.
(It's way better than Get a Will Month, or August, which is mostly a scam).
September is also the month I was born, so naturally I like it.
Anyway, you'll probably see more garbage about life insurance this month than usual, and it's something I'm passionate, so I'm going to share some educational info and ideas to consider.
If you have someone that depends on you financially, it almost always makes sense to have life insurance. You probably don't need a permanent policy, and term is very inexpensive.
If you're one of those deadbeat dads who doesn't want to spend 50 bucks a month getting a term policy because you're afraid of "being worth more dead..." I've got news for you...
I'm going to post a few times a week because this is an area that I'm passionate about from a planning perspective.
I've been through too many situations with people close to me that didn't have adequate coverage to be passive about it.
I don't care if you buy it from me, in fact I refer most of my clients to Policy Genius for simple placements. If you want to see what it would cost to get coverage, start here:
Here's a calculator through my preferred portal: https://www.policygenius.com/pro/referral/simply?advisor=Ian-Weiner&uuid=b54daa31-b0fa-4500-ac7b-c0c8174c3c5a
Finally, I've committed to donating any revenue from my educational posts this month to charity: https://sofsupport.org/
*Because I'm actually licensed to give actual advice, I have to put my AR license number #18319061 here and tell you that I'm not giving any specific advice. I am telling you to make sure you get adequate coverage.
