🌟 Summer Intern Spotlight: Meet Kayla Turner! 🌟
We’re excited to introduce Kayla Turner, one of our Summer 2026 interns at Rubino!

A graduate of Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation and Finance, Kayla is currently pursuing her Master of Accountancy, graduating in 2026.

While she’s excited to explore all areas of accounting, auditing and consulting have sparked her interest the most through her coursework.

Kayla’s passion for accounting began in high school, where she discovered that accounting allowed her to apply her love of math in a meaningful and practical way.

Kayla chose Rubino because of the welcoming culture she experienced. She saw Rubino as a place where she could grow professionally while being part of a team she could see herself enjoying for years to come.

When she’s not at the office, you’ll find Kayla running, playing soccer, reading a good book, or crocheting.

A student at George Washington University graduating in 2027, Claudia is passionate about Consulting and Outsourced Services because it combines analytical thinking with real-world business strategy.

She enjoys working with clients to understand their unique needs and using financial information to help them make strategic decisions, improve operations, and achieve their goals.

Claudia chose Rubino because of our collaborative culture, strong reputation, and commitment to professional growth. She was especially excited about the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across different accounting departments while learning from experienced professionals.

🌟 Summer Intern Spotlight: Meet Christian Ramirez! 🌟

We’re excited to introduce Christian Ramirez, one of our incredible summer interns at Rubino!

Christian is currently pursuing his accounting degree at the University of Maryland, College Park, and plans to graduate in 2027. He’s especially interested in Audit and is also looking forward to exploring Tax to gain a well-rounded perspective on the profession.

💬 What inspired you to pursue accounting?

“The puzzle-solving aspect of my first accounting class really stood out to me. I enjoyed how accounting required me to think through problems and understand how everything connects. Combined with enthusiastic professors, accounting felt like a strong fit for the way I think and the kind of work I enjoy.”

What drew Christian to Rubino? It was the people. From the interview process, he appreciated how welcoming and genuine everyone was and knew it was a place where he could build meaningful relationships while growing professionally.

Outside of the office, Christian enjoys listening to music and recently picked up golfing. ⛳ His favorite quote, “Fortune favors the bold,” reflects his willingness to embrace new opportunities and challenges.

One fun fact? Before discovering accounting, Christian dreamed of becoming a chemical engineer because he was fascinated by chemical reactions. Today, he says his biggest inspirations are his brother and sister, whose guidance and accomplishments continue to motivate him every step of the way.
