He did it! Our Bennett graduated from Kindergarten. I can't help but think of the scene from The Incredibles where Mr. Incredible says, "It's not a graduation. He's moving from the fourth grade to the fifth grade." 😉
But if my work has taught me anything, it's to celebrate the small wins along the way. If I told my kids we'd save all the celebrating until they graduate high school or college, what kind of a mom would I be?
Financial planning is much the same way. It's no different than telling a 22 year old we will celebrate when they turn 65 and can retire. No way! We celebrate every win- paying off student loans, buying a home and then paying off that home, new jobs, raises, cash flowing kids college, being debt free, selling businesses and building the vacation home in the mountains.
It's a long game, but there is victory in the journey. And I get the coolest job ever, walking alongside people as they achieve their financial dreams, one small win at a time.
