🚨 Big Tax Changes Could Be Coming – And Most of You Won’t Like It! 🚨

Nearly half of Americans don’t pay federal income tax—many because of low income, while others benefit from refundable tax credits that wipe out their tax liability and even give them a refund. But guess what? The remaining 50% of taxpayers foot 97.7% of the bill for federal income taxes.

Now, there’s talk of a new tax proposal that could shake things up. While some middle-class families might see a small benefit, many of those who rely on refundable tax credits could see them cut or eliminated. Translation? No more big tax refunds.

So, if you’re used to getting money back at tax time, you might be in for a rude awakening. This change could mean higher effective taxes for lower- and middle-income Americans, while the tax burden shifts.

What do you think—should more people pay something in federal income taxes, or is the current system fair? Let’s talk in the comments! ⬇️

The deadline for filing a Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report depends on when the business was created or registered:

- Created or registered before January 1, 2024: The deadline to file the initial BOI report is January 1, 2025.
- Created or registered on or after January 1, 2024: The deadline to file the initial BOI report is 90 days after receiving notice that the company's creation or registration is effective.
- Created or registered on or after January 1, 2025: The deadline to file the initial BOI report is 30 days after receiving notice that the company's creation or registration is effective.

Companies must also file updated or corrected BOI reports within 30 days of any changes to their company information or beneficial owners.

The BOI E-Filing website is available at https://boiefiling.fincen.gov. Failure to file a BOI report can result in civil penalties of up to $591 per day, and could also lead to criminal charges.

Please note that beneficial ownership information reporting requirements have been affected by a recent federal court order. The Department of the Treasury is appealing that order. In the meantime, reporting companies are not currently required to file a BOIR and are not subject to liability if they fail to do so while the applicable order remains in force.
However, reporting companies may still opt to file a BOIR.

Tax season is here and it's essential to decide who will prepare your tax return. Will you take on the task yourself or seek the assistance of a professional?
If you choose the latter, finding the right person for the job is crucial. Consider the various service providers that describe themselves as accountants, tax preparers, tax planners, and bookkeepers. While these titles may sound impressive, they don't necessarily indicate expertise. To ensure your needs are met, delve deeper into each provider's experience, knowledge, and training before making a decision.
