The IRS will be sending out two letters to taxpayers in January:

• Letter 6419 - Advance Child Tax Credit Payments
• Letter 6475 - Economic Impact (stimulus) Payment

It is important to retain these letters and submit them with your tax documents.

Reporting incorrect advance child tax credit or economic impact payment amounts will cause delays in tax return processing and the issuance of refunds.

Treasury Secretary Mnuchin announced today that the IRS tax filing deadline has been extended three months to July 15th. The tax payment deadline for most taxpayers was extended to July 15th earlier in the week. The payment deadline includes balance due on returns as well as 1st quarter 2020 estimated tax payments originally due April 15th.

Indiana Department of Revenue announced yesterday that the due date for returns and tax payments have also been extended to July 15th.
