The European Union’s new Entry/Exit System is now in place for many non-EU travelers, including Americans visiting participating Schengen Area countries.

The system replaces passport stamps with a digital process that records entry and exit information. Travelers may be asked to provide passport details, fingerprints, and a facial scan when arriving.

The rules for how long visitors can stay have not changed, but the process at some airports may take longer as travelers and border officials adjust to the new system.

Larger airports and major travel hubs may experience longer wait times, especially during peak travel periods.

For anyone heading to Europe, a little extra time at the airport could help make the arrival process smoother.

I didn't get a chance to post on the Fourth of July, but after spending the weekend with family, I realized that was time well spent, and time away from the computer was amazing!

As we mark 250 years of our nation's history, I'm grateful for the freedoms we enjoy, the memories we make with loved ones, and the opportunity to reflect on what truly matters. Family, faith, friendship, and community are blessings worth celebrating every day.

I hope everyone had a safe and meaningful Independence Day. Happy 250th Birthday America!

The National Trust for Historic Preservation has released its annual list of the most endangered historic places in the United States.

This year’s list includes 11 sites connected to America’s 250th anniversary and the country’s ongoing conversations around equality, preservation, and shared history.

Sites on the list include places tied to civil rights, women’s rights, immigration, religious freedom, Indigenous heritage, and Revolutionary War history.

For the first time since the list began in 1988, each selected site will receive a one-time $25,000 grant to help address preservation needs and raise awareness of the stories connected to these places.

Historic preservation is not only about protecting buildings or landmarks. It is also about keeping the stories, struggles, and contributions behind those places visible for future generations.
