Had a fabulous convo with Tom Christensen yesterday and it’s brought me to the following.

A business owner really needs a set of financial reports on a regular basis, monthly or quarterly not annually. The goal here is that the progress or lack of it can be immediately seen with the Profit and Loss Report that I generate for you. It allows you to see the income coming in and how you are spending the monies going out with consistency and in a timely way. Just seeing $10,000 on the bank statement doesn’t prove you are making money.
That’s what I do for your company. You see everything that flows through the bank and credit card transactions and they are properly allocated. Think about this!

As a business owner, how much info are you looking for when it comes to your businesses' financial reports?

We take two different approaches to producing the information we give to you.

The after the fact method consists of financial details after they clear the bank and credit cards.

Accrual accounting which includes customer invoicing, entry of vendor bills to pay, even payroll, gives you an accts receivable. In other words how much is owed to my company and how much do I owe out to my vendors.
