The pattern in stores that execute well:
Leadership asks questions instead of handing out answers.
"Walk me through why you checked that."
"What made you flag that number?"
"What would you say differently next time?"
Nobody gets pulled into an office for it. It happens where the work is, while it's still fresh.
If coaching only happens in a monthly meeting, you're coaching them on something they did three weeks ago and mostly forgot.
Training days and scorecards still matter. Floor coaching just catches the habit a week earlier, before it ever makes it to a meeting.
