Autumn consistently brings a high level of responsiveness to everything she does, whether that’s staying on top of communication internally or making sure clients feel supported and taken care of.
What stands out most about Autumn is that her responsiveness goes beyond simply replying quickly. She’s thoughtful, proactive, and dependable, and that shows up in the way she communicates with both clients and the team. Her approach helps things move forward smoothly and creates a better experience for everyone she works with.

This month's Game Ball goes to someone who lives out one of Aspen's core values every day of working smarter, not harder: Johann Simpson!
Johann hasn't been with us for long, but he's already changed how we operate. He showed up with a great attitude and a knack for spotting where things could run better. He's not afraid to ask why we do something in a certain way, and more often than not, those questions lead us to something better, usually a simpler process that serves our clients more effectively.
What stands out about Johann is that he looks for the smarter path, and he's made the whole team sharper for it. Johann, thanks for showing us what working smarter looks like, the Aspen way!

This month’s Game Ball recipient is a team member who consistently demonstrates one of Aspen’s core values in action—humility: Mike Keller.

Since joining Aspen, Mike has approached his work with a genuine sense of care, curiosity, and appreciation for both clients and colleagues. His ability to build meaningful relationships and connect deeply with clients is evident in everything he does and has made a lasting impact across the organization.

Even with all of his experience, Mike continues to show up with a learner’s mindset—seeking to grow, improve, and thoughtfully understand each client’s unique situation. That consistency in attitude and approach is what truly sets him apart.

This month's Game Ball recipient is the team member who brings both exceptional depth and meticulous accuracy to the great work he does: Jack Burnett!

Jack doesn’t just complete the work; he digs in. Whether it's a portfolio analysis, financial modeling, or preparation for client meetings, Jack delivers results that are thorough and precise. He asks the right questions, follows the details all the way through, and produces great work. He lives out our value of attention to detail and doing things the right way.

Jack will graduate from Boise State University in May 2026, and we are especially proud of the intellectual rigor and commitment he has brought to our firm during a very busy senior year. Go Broncos!

Can you pick the single best Christmas cookie, or is diversification the smarter strategy? The Aspen Capital Management team put this to the test with our first-ever Christmas Cookie Challenge a couple weeks ago! After 13 judges carefully evaluated taste, texture, and appearance, the results showed that 2 bakers, Stacia Mers and Brynn Shockey, noticeably outperformed the benchmarks (in this case, the other 5 competing bakers).

The results showed that you're much better off relying on diversification, or in this case, a large tray of assorted cookies to take home from the office! We hope you all are enjoying the holiday season as much as we are. 🍪🎉
