🚨 S Corp Owners: Don’t Overlook These Health Insurance Deductions!

Most S Corp owners know health insurance premiums may be deductible…but did you know dental, vision, and even certain Medicare premiums may qualify too? 👀

For more-than-2% S Corp shareholders, premiums for:

🦷 Dental insurance
👓 Vision insurance
🏥 Medical insurance
👴🏾 Medicare Part B, Part D, Medicare Advantage & qualifying Medigap coverage

may qualify for the self-employed health insurance deduction when handled correctly.

⚠️ Here’s where S Corp owners can get tripped up:
Paying the premiums personally may not be enough. The S Corp generally needs to pay or reimburse the premiums AND properly report them on the shareholder’s W-2 for the deduction to be preserved.

Small details like this can make a BIG difference at tax time. 💰

If you own an S Corp, make sure your tax strategy goes beyond simply filing the return. Proper planning and reporting throughout the year matters!
