My first thought when I get a text like this from a client?

THANK YOUUUU for letting me know! πŸ™

Because you texted me, I can make a note in your file of the exact date your personal charge happened.

Then, when I go to do your bookkeeping next month, I don't have to bother asking you about that random Whole Foods expense... πŸ₯–

I already know that it needs to be reclassified!

Don't panic if you accidentally put a personal expense on your business card (or vice versa), just let me know so I can make sure everything gets recorded correctly. πŸ“š

There is nothing better than watching a client move from "hoping they don't get audited" to knowing their relief vets, techs, and barn hands are 100% compliant.

No more payroll anxiety. No more worrying about state or federal audits. Just clean books and a bulletproof business.

Let’s partner up this month and take the entire weight of bookkeeping, payroll, and taxes completely off your plate for next year. πŸŽ„πŸŽπŸ‘‰

COMMON MISCONCEPTION ↓

Your bookkeeping isn't done when you've cleared out all of your uncategorized expenses.

Once everything is entered and categorized in your books, you've got one *crucial* step left...

Reconciling! πŸ”

Basically, this step is where you check your work. Reconciling catches mistakes like missing transactions, typos, or duplicates.

When you've reconciled each transaction and have a $0 difference? That's when you're officially done!

If you aren't reconciling, you risk letting mistakes snowball into MUUCH bigger problems.

Don't have time for all that? I do! βœ‹

An S corp generally isn't my first recommendation for holding real estate...

It's because it can *really* limit your options with your property.

It can be tough to get the property out without a taxable event, plus you lose flexibility with ownership changes.

For rentals, an S corp isn't usually the most tax-efficient option.

A lot of business owners use their S corp to save on self-employment taxes, but rental property income generally isn't subject to SE tax.

Before you buy a new rental property, check with your tax accountant to figure out how to structure things the right way from the beginning.

The LAST thing I'm asking you to do is sign over all your legal rights. πŸ“

The reason I may need a Power of Attorney from you isn't for legal control; it's to get your authorization to talk to the IRS on your behalf!

Tax POAs can be limited to a specific tax period or tax form. It does NOT give me broad access to your affairs. πŸ™…

Why a POA? Instead of sitting around waiting on speaker phone when you call the IRS, I can just handle it all for you!

You can also revoke a tax POA at any time by naming a new representative or by submitting a written revocation statement to the IRS.

Sharing some HUGE news about charitable deductions ↓

In past years, charitable contributions used to only help taxpayers who itemized (aka didn't take the standard deduction) on their tax return.

But starting in 2026, taxpayers who take the standard deduction can ALSO deduct certain charitable contributions.

How much?

If you're single β†’ up to $1,000.

If you're married filing jointly β†’ up to $2,000.

This deduction generally applies to cash donations made to qualifying charities only. Gifts to individuals do NOT count.
