Over the past few months, I experienced the unimaginable — the loss of my sweet baby, Gunnar.

During that time, I stepped away from the business, and my team stepped up in ways I will never be able to fully put into words. They held everything together, kept our clients supported, and made Alpine Ridge Accounting what it is...

Strong. Steady. Rooted in care. I am endlessly grateful.

Running a business is hard. Walking through deep personal loss while doing it is something else entirely.

I’m slowly finding my way back, one day at a time. And while business matters, some things will always matter more.

Moving forward doesn’t mean avoiding the hard things, it means leaning into them.

• It means talking about the uncomfortable.
• It means asking the people around you how they’re really doing.
• It means saying Gunnar’s name and honoring his life.
