If you’re starting to look like this, take a deep breath. Did you know that filing an extension gives you until October 15th to get your paperwork in order?

The Golden Rule: An extension gives you more time to file, but it doesn't give you more time to pay. If you think you’ll owe, make sure to send that payment by the April deadline to avoid the "hair-standing-on-end" levels of IRS interest!
