We’re excited to welcome Emily Stewart to Paradigm Wealth Management as a Financial Advisor!

As Paradigm continues to grow, we want to be intentional about adding people who share our belief that great financial advice starts with truly knowing the people you serve. Emily stood out to us because of her natural ability to connect with people, her curiosity, and her desire to continue learning and growing as an advisor.

Emily will be working alongside our advisory team, becoming an important part of our client relationships and helping families navigate everything from day-to-day financial decisions to retirement planning and the bigger transitions that happen throughout life.

For Emily, being a financial advisor is about more than investments and numbers. She enjoys getting to know the people behind the plan—what matters to them, what they’re working toward, and how we can help them feel more confident about their financial future.

Outside of Paradigm, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends and stays closely connected to lacrosse through both playing and officiating.

We’re excited about what Emily brings to our team and even more excited for our clients to get to know her.

Welcome to Paradigm, Emily!

**Markets continue to climb despite no shortage of uncertainty.**

In our August market update, we take a look at several of the major themes shaping the second half of 2026 — including the massive investment in AI, strong corporate earnings, geopolitical uncertainty, oil prices, inflation, and interest rates.

One of the biggest shifts we’re watching: investors are beginning to ask less about the *promise* of AI and more about the *return* on the enormous amount of capital being invested.

At the same time, corporate earnings remain strong, economic growth has been resilient, and market gains have increasingly been supported by earnings growth rather than simply expanding valuations.

There are certainly risks ahead, but we continue to believe the current environment reinforces the importance of staying diversified, disciplined, and focused on the long term.

Read our full August market update below.

Retirees have the benefit of hindsight.

Yet 63% say they wish they had contributed more toward retirement.

The reasons weren't surprising:

• Cost of living
• Debt
• Unexpected expenses
• Other financial priorities

Life has a way of making "I'll save more next year" feel like the reasonable choice.

The challenge is that retirement planning rewards consistency more than perfection.

What's one financial habit you're glad you started—or wish you had started—10 years earlier?

Consumer sentiment is near multi-year lows. The stock market is near all-time highs.

That's your reminder that investing based on emotion is rarely a winning strategy.

The market rewards discipline—not consensus.

WHAT WE’RE READING

At Paradigm Wealth Management, we are committed to continuous learning and professional development. One way we bring that to life is through our internal book group, where we read and discuss a chapter each week as a team.

These conversations consistently lead to valuable insights—ranging from how we can enhance the client experience to reflecting on the deeper purpose behind the work we do every day.

We are currently reading Unreasonable Hospitality: The Remarkable Power of Giving People More Than They Expect by Will Guidara. The book offers a thoughtful perspective on service, attention to detail, and the impact of going above and beyond expectations—principles that are highly relevant across client-focused professions.

For anyone in a client-facing role who values both professionalism and meaningful relationships, this is a worthwhile read.

“When you ask, ‘Why do we do it this way?’ and the only answer is ‘Because that’s how it’s always been done,’ that rule deserves
another look.”

— Will Guidara

A Story for July 4th

A few months ago, I was driving down the highway and noticed an American flag on the side of the road. I pulled over and ran back to retrieve it. Though it was tattered, it was still largely intact.

Coincidentally, my coworker had the same thought. He also pulled over and saw me running back to the flag, capturing the moment on video.

While this was far from a "heroic" act, I believe there's some powerful symbolism here.

Our country may face struggles, and at times it might feel like we're lost—just like that flag. But it's still our country, the place where many of our children will grow up, and perhaps their children too. When we're down and out, like that flag, we need to go back, pick ourselves up, and find ways to make things better.

From our team to all of you, however you choose to celebrate the Fourth of July, we hope you have a happy and safe holiday with family and friends!

"One day or day one. You decide." - Paulo Coelho

Recently, I had a conversation with a friend who, despite being years away from her anticipated retirement date, had not yet started planning for it. When I asked about her retirement planning, her response was a casual "I will get to it one day..."

We discussed the factors that underscore the importance of early retirement planning, such as increasing life expectancy, rising healthcare costs, challenges faced by the Social Security Administration, inflation, and taxes (yes, I can be a fun friend, I know 😄). We also talked about the unpredictability of health and the possibility of unforeseen changes in the future.

Suddenly, the notion of "one day" transformed into "day one" as she insisted I open my calendar and book a meeting with her at our office.

It's never too early to start planning for retirement, but there does come a point where it can be too late. If retirement is on your horizon and you're ready to make today your "day one," reach out to us. We're here to help you start your retirement journey on the right foot!
