The lifting of the Giglio to honor San Paolino, the patron saint of Nola, Italy has been taking place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn since 1887. Good morning and buon giorno,

Tonight is opening night for the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel/Giglio Feast at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church located at 211 Havemeyer St, Brooklyn, NY 11211. This Sunday July 12th is Giglio Sunday! Festivities start at 11:30 AM with the Giglio mass followed by the lifting of the Giglio at 1:30 PM where I myself and many other Italian men will be taking part in the lifting of the Giglio.

Can’t make it Sunday? On Wednesday July 15th, the Night Lift of the Giglio will be taking place at 7 AM.
