Reminder: Shareholder health insurance is due Friday, December 19th!

S Corporation shareholders who own 2% or more of an S Corporation are required to report on their W-2 the amount of any health insurance premiums paid on their behalf by the S Corporation. Premiums that should be reported on the W-2 include health insurance premiums and long-term care insurance premiums, but NOT life insurance premiums. Complying with this reporting requirement will allow you to properly deduct your health insurance premiums when completing your tax returns. No deduction is allowed if this reporting is not completed.
