This is Alma, Sherry's office assistant that worked for her for 5yrs. I want to inform all of her tax clients, that under NO CIRCUMSTANCES TAX CLIENTS FILES WILL NOT BE SHREDDED PER THE IRS TAX LAWS, as I have contacted IRS and I am authorized to give all of her clients their files back per IRS. So I will be in her office on Thursday January 9th, Friday January 10th to make calls to her clients & give back their files per the IRS LAWS. So If you want to call me at the office on Thursday, so that I can pull all of your files & return them to you. I am hoping to get this process done before the end of the month, as the office will be closed at the end of January 2025.
I just want to let her clients that the FILES CAN NOT & WILL NOT BE SHREDDED.

From Sherry's sister: it's with tremendous sadness to announce Sherry has passed away. Legal advice is being sought. Your prayers, patience and understanding are very appreciated by her son, and family. She knew everyone of you when you called or came in.

Colorado Includes Holiday Incentive Pay in Regular Rate of Pay Calculation

The Supreme Court of Colorado recently ruled that holiday incentive pay (extra pay for hours worked on a company holiday) is a type of shift differential compensation, and therefore must be included in the calculation of an employee’s regular rate of pay (RROP) for overtime purposes.

This is different from federal law, which doesn’t require that extra compensation for work on holidays—if paid at a premium rate of at least 1.5x an employee’s usual rate of pay—be included in the RROP calculation.
