A quick heads-up for anyone holding cryptocurrency: the IRS has confirmed a scam involving fake letters that ask recipients to scan a QR code and enroll in a "Digital Asset Compliance Portal." This portal does not exist, and the IRS did not send this letter.

The QR code leads to a fraudulent website designed to look like IRS.gov and collect personal information, wallet details, or exchange login credentials.

A few reminders if something like this lands in your mailbox:
📵 Don't scan QR codes from unsolicited mail.
🛑 Slow down before you act.
📞 If you're ever unsure whether a notice is real, call our office.

This past Saturday, we were proud to once again support Men Making Moves for their 5th Annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway in Navasota! 🎒

The event provided backpacks filled with school supplies, hygiene essentials, and clothing basics to students across the community.
