Like it suggests, this Report needs filed EVERY YEAR to keep your business active and retain your name rights with PA.

This is separate from your tax return! All entities listed are subject to the report. See due dates below. Filing fee is $7 (free for nonprofits).

We FINALLY have a list of professions that qualify for No Tax on Tips! Effective for all of 2025.

Tips will be run through your paycheck as normal. Like always, tips will be reported separately on your W-2 that will then come off your taxable income on your return, up to $25,000 and limited to your income level.

Also important to note it is your federal tax only, NOT Social Security and Medicare.

The PA Property Tax / Rent Rebate filing deadline has again been extended this year from June 30th to December 31st.

If I have already prepared your 2024 taxes and were eligible, this PA Form 1000 was already completed.

If you had your taxes done through the VITA program, they will NOT complete this form for you as part of their services. If you believe you may be eligible, give me a call and we can discuss.

The deadline for senior citizens and Pennsylvanians with disabilities to apply for rebates on rent and property taxes paid in 2024 has been extended to Dec. 31. Please note: If you already applied for the 2024 program, rebates will be distributed after July 1.

Income limits for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program increased this year to $46,520 for both homeowners and renters. If you were earning too much to qualify before, you may be eligible now. Remember to exclude 50% of Social Security when determining your income. The law I supported to expand the program also increased the maximum rebate to $1,000.

The program is open to residents age 65 years and older; widows and widowers 50 years and older; and people with disabilities 18 years and older.

Remember – you do not need to pay anyone for assistance to apply for the rebates. Apply online at mypath.pa.gov, or contact my office for help.

12 years ago today, I graduated from Gannon University in Erie with my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting!
