You need to know these tax moves!!

1️⃣ Turn Home → Deduction: If you use a part of your home regularly and exclusively for business, you can deduct a portion of your rent/mortgage, utilities, and insurance.

2026 Pro-Tip: The "Simplified Method" is now $5 per square foot up to 300 sq. ft. ($1,500 max).

2️⃣ Phone Write-Off: If you use your personal cell for business, you can deduct the business-use percentage of your monthly bill. 📱

3️⃣ Car → Partial Expense: You can choose between the Standard Mileage Rate (72.5 cents per mile in 2026) or "Actual Expenses" (gas, repairs, insurance). 🏎️

4️⃣ Pay Tax After Expenses: This is the golden rule. Businesses are taxed on Net Income (Revenue minus Expenses), not total sales. 🍕

5️⃣ Deduct Business Meals: You can generally deduct 50% of meals while traveling or meeting clients.

Reality Check: As of Jan 1, 2026, employer-provided meals (like office snacks or cafeteria food) are now 0% deductible. Stick to client lunches! ☕

6️⃣ Write Off Travel: Flights, hotels, and 50% of meals are deductible for business trips. Just make sure the primary purpose of the trip is work-related. ✈️

7️⃣ Use Depreciation: High-ticket items like computers or machinery "lose value" over time on paper. You can deduct that loss even if the item still works perfectly. 💻

8️⃣ Real Estate = "Losses": Thanks to depreciation on buildings, you can often show a "paper loss" on a rental property while still collecting positive cash flow. 🏠

9️⃣ Borrow Tax-Free: Taking out a loan (like a HELOC or business loan) isn't "income" because you have to pay it back. It’s a way to access liquidity without a tax hit. 💰

🔟 Shift Income Legally: Hiring your kids to do legitimate work for your business can move income from your high tax bracket to their lower (or zero) bracket. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
