WARNING: Businesses are now required to file what is called a Beneficial Ownership Information report with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. This is the first year reports are due and they must be filed by 12/31/2024. There are many fly by night companies sending out official looking emails that point businesses to their official looking sites that charge between $199 and $399 to file this report. This is an Example of one on the left. The report is free to file directly through the FINCEN website at https://boiefiling.fincen.gov/fileboir the official site is on the right.
