To EVERYONE: There is an IRS letter being sent out to EVERYONE requesting their BANKING information. First, DO NOT scan the QR code! The real CP53E does NOT include a QR code. You can FIND any notice or letter from the IRS on your IRS account or in your ID.ME account. Also, most all TAX professionals are ADVISING their clients to IGNORE the notice, EVEN if it is LEGITIMATE. If you ARE due a REFUND, the IRS will send you a paper CHECK for your refund in about 6 weeks.
