Nursing School to Hall of Fame 2021

This week we'd like to highlight Samantha Brook! Samantha was a first time hall of fame recipient in 2021 and consistently helps over 25 families every month!

Q: When did you start working with FFL and what were you doing for work prior to FFL?

A: I started working with FFL in December of 2020. Prior to FFL I was a nursing assistant at a hospital and also applying to Physician Assistant schools. At the hospital I was making just under $3,000 per month.

Q: What made you decide to leave that position and start with Family First Life?

A: I was working 12 hour shifts and holidays. I was feeling very burnt out and I can remember I was expected to work on Christmas day. That was the moment I decided to leave. I wanted to be in control of my own schedule.

Q: What was the biggest obstacle that you had to overcome?

A: My biggest obstacle was my mindset. Commission based jobs have great days and bad days. I had to learn to ride the wave, stay level headed, and just be present in the home with the clients.

Q: What is the most rewarding aspect of your new career?

A: The most rewarding aspect of this career is walking into a stranger's home and leaving as family. You meet so many amazing families here and I love being able to be a part of the legacy they leave behind to loved ones.

Q: One piece of advice to new agents?

A: My one piece of advice for new agents is to just go all in. You have nothing to lose. Keep an open mind, be coachable, and go to work.
