I'm a lifelong learner, having always enjoyed "expanding my horizons" when time permits. If you're like me, having access to MOOC's is an amazing thing, almost as good as mixing peanut butter & chocolate. And most of them are free! (MOOC = Massive Open Online Courses)

The 4% Rule is the typical advice about how much a retiree should withdraw from their savings to live on each year. The idea is that you can safely plan to withdraw and live off of 4% of your savings each year during retirement without risking running out of money before you pass away.

Heard of the 4% rule? It's really not a hard & fast rule, but rather a rule of thumb, or very rough estimate of how much a retiree can withdraw annually during retirement. To get a "better" estimate, have a CFP run a financial plan for you along with spending "stress tests" to show you how various scenarios might play out and whether you have enough margin-of-safety in your retirement plan.
