Today marks World Mental Health Day and in its honor, we’d like to shine a spotlight on the important work of one of our key partners, The Aspen Effect.

They provide a critical service in our community that strengthens youth and family resilience to help prevent mental health crises and harmful behaviors through mentors, animals, and a healing ranch environment.

Strong communities start with informed conversations.

Fidelis Wealth Advisors is proud to have sponsored the Castle Rock Chamber 2026 Town Council Candidate Forum this week. It was an opportunity for our community to hear directly from the candidates, learn more about their perspectives on issues affecting Castle Rock businesses, economic vitality, and engage in an important conversation about the future of Castle Rock.

We also want to recognize Mayor Jason Gray and Councilmen Kevin Bracken - Castle Rock Town Council, District 3 and Max Brooks for their service and support of the Town of Castle Rock Government, and extend our appreciation to everyone willing to step forward and serve our community in this way.

🚨 It’s RMD Month at Fidelis! 🚨

Say what?! 😅

Every October, our team comes together to process Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) for our clients.

Not exactly glamorous, but proactive planning rarely is. 😉

So, what’s an RMD?

💰 A required withdrawal from certain retirement accounts once you reach the applicable age (currently 73 for many retirees)

📊 The amount is based on your age and account balance

💵 It generally counts as taxable income

⚠️ Miss your RMD? You could face a penalty.

The bottom line? RMDs are one more piece of the retirement planning puzzle, and they’re worth getting right.
