Tax season is officially here, and with it, the long days and busy brains.

One thing I’ve learned over the years: burnout doesn’t show up all at once. It creeps in when we forget to take care of ourselves while we’re taking care of everything else.

For me right now, that looks like half-marathon training. 🏃🏿‍♀️👟

It’s my way of clearing my head, burning off stress, and reminding myself that consistency matters, on and off the clock.

As the holiday season winds down, we keep thinking about the kind of work that doesn’t always make the highlight reel, but holds everything together.

Nonprofits show up in the ways that matter most this time of year: warm meals, safe beds, rides to appointments, advocacy, community care, small moments of dignity, and the steady reminder that no one should have to do life alone.
