Happy 250th Birthday, U.S.A! We wish you all a wonderful, happy, safe Independence Day and Semiquincentennial! There’s a lot happening on and around Long Island today, including tall ships assembling in New York Harbor, many of which will pass through Long Island Sound, a spectacular fireworks display at Jones Beach, and also an air show featuring the Blue Angels at that same location on July 5th and 6th. It should be a spectacular and memorable weekend!

The City of Long Beach’s Free Concert Series on the Beach begins tonight. The concerts will take place on various weeknights, on a rotating list of beaches, including Grand Boulevard, Edwards Boulevard, Kennedy Boulevard, and Lincoln Boulevard, until September 3rd, beginning at 7 PM.
