There is a new program in Colorado for any kid born or adopted in the State after January 1, 2020. The plan offers $100 and then up to a $500 match for the next 5 years for the new CollegeInvest First Step 529 Plan. Feel free to reach out regarding any questions you may have.

Next on our list is Village Exchange Center.

The Village Exchange Center is a community center and multi-faith space that was established to support and empower the immigrants, refugees, and other community members of northwest Aurora as they navigate the challenges of life in a new country and culture. Founded in 2017, Village Exchange Center celebrates religious and cultural diversity and creates opportunities for social, cultural and economic exchange. VEC provides a hub for programs, organizations and services that support inclusion, engagement, and empowerment while respecting and honoring communities’ unique traditions and values. Programs are robust and include food sovereignty, direct financial assistance, youth development programming, and health equity clinics and outreach.

On Day 5, we would like to introduce you to Caring Ambassadors.
The Caring Ambassadors Program's mission is to improve the lives of patients and communities by empowering and educating them to be advocates for their health. We love donations but more important to us is you advocate for your and your family's health this holiday season. First, CDC recommends everyone get a one-time test for hepatitis C. There is a simple cure. Ask your doctor. Second, Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Make a radon test kit part of your family's stocking stuffers!

The mission of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra (DYAO) is to expose young musicians and audiences to the joy and beauty of symphonic music. We aim to engage our community, elevate our young artists, and uplift the power of music across Colorado and beyond. Today, we are introducing one of our audit managers, Karl!

Where I’m from – Ringwood, New Jersey

Experience – 16 years in public accounting

About me – In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife Kristin who I married earlier this summer and our two dogs Ranger and Bowser. On a typical weekend you can find me outdoors hiking, mountain biking, camping, fishing and skiing. I also enjoy concerts, riding motorcycles and woodworking.

Tax experience: Masters in Accountancy at UTSA (University of Texas at San Antonio)

A little about me: I am blessed to have an amazing wife, Susan, who makes lunches that are the envy of the office. We have two small dogs (Bichon-Poodle mix), Toby and Milo. My office nickname is “Eeyore” because I speak with no intonation. In my spare time I like to play basketball.

Where I’m from: Sacramento, California

Experience: Just over 2 years in public accounting

Education: Attended the University of Wyoming where I double majored in Accounting and Finance.

Fun Fact: My sister and I share the same birthday but are 2 years apart!

About me: I currently live in Alaska where I met my fiancé who is a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. We love traveling, playing pool, golfing, and exploring as much of Alaska as we can. We spend much of our time in the outdoors or in the gym doing CrossFit. Our 2 labs (Madalynn and Maverick) keep us very busy!
