After my divorce at 41, I walked into a financial advisor's office with $300,000 from the sale of my home, a credit score in the 400s, and a lot of uncertainty. His advice? "Put your money in the bank and get an apartment." I remember sitting in that office feeling dismissed, underestimated, and like my future didn't matter.
But that moment lit a fire in me. I decided I would never let someone else make me feel powerless about my finances again. Today, I'm passionate about helping others—especially women—gain the financial knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions, ask better questions, and take control of their future.
Sometimes your greatest setback becomes the very thing that gives you purpose. 💙
