Meet Mary Holdorf!
Mary has been with Plancentric Financial Group since day one, and as Chief Operating Officer she has helped shape the firm with her years of experience, steady leadership, and commitment to excellence.
One of Mary’s favorite parts of her role is working alongside an exceptionally talented team. Outside the office, she enjoys taking advantage of Charlotte’s proximity to both the mountains and the beach, and she fondly recalls a trip to Washington’s Orcas Island, which she describes as “absolutely beautiful.” Family is at the center of Mary’s life, and one of her proudest recent moments was celebrating her first granddaughter’s graduation from Ohio University. She’s also a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan who believes there’s no better place to be than Pittsburgh on game day. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Mary gardening, reading, golfing, or spending time with family and friends. Fun fact: she once went skydiving and loved every minute of it, and she’s known to be a fierce bocce ball competitor.
Her best advice? Always leave it better than you found it.

This past weekend, Jason Martin and his family attended the 18th annual Hornets Heroes Gala. The gala raised over $1 million dollars for the Charlotte Hornets Foundation, which supports nonprofit partners and community programs that create meaningful change across our region. It was great to see generosity take center court in support of such an important cause.

Meet Sherry Boughman!
With more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, Sherry brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and passion to our team. As the leader of our Insurance Services department, she plays a vital role in helping both clients and colleagues navigate the complexities of risk management while fostering the growth and development of those around her.
Since beginning her career in 1982, Sherry has built an impressive background spanning client service, training, and advisor development. Her extensive industry expertise, combined with licenses in Life & Health, Series 6 & 63, and Long-Term Care, makes her an invaluable resource for our team and the clients we serve. What Sherry enjoys most about her role is mentoring others. She loves working with a team that is eager to learn and grow, and she takes pride in helping the next generation of professionals build successful careers.
Outside of the office, Sherry and her husband, Steve, call McAdenville, North Carolina, home. Known as "Christmas Town, USA," it's a community they've proudly been part of for the past 11 years. Looking ahead, Sherry is excited for retirement and the opportunity to spend more time with her family, including her children and grandchildren, while enjoying the next chapter of life. When she’s not working, you can often find Sherry in the mountains, at the beach, or cheering on the Carolina Panthers and Tar Heels. One of her favorite memories remains her honeymoon with Steve, where they enjoyed a Royal Caribbean cruise full of beautiful beaches and unforgettable sights. Sherry is especially proud of the career she has built, the relationships she has formed throughout the years, and the family she and Steve have raised. We are grateful for the expertise, dedication, and positive impact she brings to our firm every day!
