If you have received one of the inaccurate 1095-A's from the Health Insurance Marketplace, there is a work-around. Go to https://www.healthcare.gov/taxes/tools/silver/ and use the calculator to find the cost for the benchmark silver plan (second lowest cost silver plan) for your area. Take that price and use it in Part III column B of your 1095-A and you will be able to complete your return. The corrected 1095-A's are scheduled to be sent the first week of March.

Medicare Open Enrollment is only two days away. If you have Tricare for Life, a Federal Employee Group Health Plan or Advantage 65, you do NOT need to review your coverage. However, those with a Medicare Part D plan or a Medicare Advantage Plan can save hundreds with a simple, quick review. This year the Medicare Advantage Plan Humana Choice 003 has been discontinued in our area. If you have Humana Choice MAPD 003, you will need to choose a new plan. Contact Papers Please for help.
