• (June 19, 1865) represents the historical commemoration to the end of slavery, which was more than 2.5 years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. As freed slaves, black people have endured centuries of hardship as the implementation of Jim Crow laws, codified white supremacy and black inferiority across this country thats led to decades of disinvestment in Black communities.
Unfortunately inequalities still exist, we continue to Build, Educate, Invest and for true Freedom here on this Land! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
