I don’t pretend perimenopause isn’t real
I don’t stay silent with dismissive doctors
I don’t do family functions that depleté me
I don’t shrink for old friendships
I don’t apologize for protecting my sleep
I don’t center everyone’s needs but mine
I don’t show up for people who vanish
I don’t chase the body I had at 30
I don’t explain why my life looks different
I don’t put myself last anymore
