Congratulations to Brenda Sleeper on her retirement, and thank you for all you’ve contributed to the BDO Alliance over the past nine years as our BRN Relationship Director, as well as for your remarkable career in the accounting profession.

If you’ve ever worked with Brenda, you know she is far more than a colleague—she quickly becomes a lifelong friend. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and combined with her determination, it has helped grow our BRN practice in ways we never imagined. From planning our BRN Summit to helping launch our virtual AI Summit, Brenda has made a lasting impact. She has played a key role in developing and mentoring our BRN team, served as a trusted relationship director to some of our largest BRN firms, and remained deeply connected to the broader profession through her involvement with the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM), where she is also a Hall of Fame member. It’s just one more example of how deeply rooted Brenda is in this industry.

While we’re excited for Brenda as she begins this well-earned new chapter, we will certainly miss her big ideas, energy, and friendship. Congratulations, Brenda, and best wishes in retirement!

After an incredible career, Kevin Moquist will be retiring at the end of June. We’re grateful for the leadership, dedication, and lasting impact he has made as one of our CPA Relationship Principals. Kevin’s commitment to building strong relationships and supporting those around him has left a meaningful mark, and we’re excited to celebrate all he has accomplished as he begins this next chapter.

Since 2015, Kevin’s primary role was managing our CPA firms in the Midwest, Ohio Valley, and Upstate New York regions. He also managed the Great Lakes region until 2021. Kevin initially served as the BDO Minneapolis Office Managing Tax Partner for two years after his BDO Alliance firm, MTK, joined BDO with their expansion into Minnesota in 2013. With his experience as a long time Managing Partner of MTK and his leadership role at BDO, Kevin’s Alliance focus was to help foster independent Alliance CPA firms to leverage our BDO resources. He expanded regional roundtables & networking events, initiated our monthly Alliance Forum Webinars on industry hot topics, and founded the Segment Alliance Program to encourage BDO Service Line Leaders to develop strategies to collaborate with Alliance firms.
