It's National Cat Day, so we figured we'd show off a few of the "cats" that help get the job done around here. 🐯🌲

Our Tigercat forestry equipment may not be the kind of cat most people are celebrating today, but we're pretty fond of them.

Happy National Cat Day from The Turman Group!

A log home project can extend well beyond the home itself. 🌲

From the main residence to a matching detached garage, wood brings a consistent look and natural character across the property.

Burks Fork Log Homes manufactures the log home materials and components that help bring projects like this to life.

We're honored to have been part of this year's Forest Products Week recognition in Virginia. 🌳

Thank you to Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Katie Frazier for presenting Turman Lumber Company with a framed Forest Products Week proclamation, and to the Virginia Department of Forestry and Virginia Forest Landowner Education Program for including our Christiansburg sawmill in the Fall Woods and Wildlife Field Tour.

We appreciated the opportunity to welcome everyone to the mill, share a look at our operation, and celebrate an industry that means so much to Virginia and the communities we call home.

We enjoyed welcoming students from the Twin County Manufacturing Excellence program to Turman Hardwood Flooring yesterday! 🌳

Students spent time touring our facility, seeing our manufacturing operation firsthand, and learning more about the work that goes into producing Appalachian hardwood flooring.

Opportunities like this give local students a chance to step inside manufacturing facilities in their own community and see some of the careers and industries available close to home.

Thank you to Mount Rogers Region and everyone involved with Manufacturing Excellence for including Turman Hardwood Flooring in this year's tours. We enjoyed having the students visit and sharing a look at what we do!

We're proud to have played a small part in bringing this outdoor classroom to life at Eastern Montgomery High School! 🌲

Burks Fork Log Homes and Turman Lumber Company were pleased to donate materials toward the project, which has created a beautiful outdoor space for students to learn, gather, and put to use for years to come.

The Holly King Outdoor Classroom was recently dedicated in memory of beloved teacher Holly King, and we're honored to be recognized alongside the many businesses, organizations, individuals, and students who contributed their time, materials, and talents to make the project possible.

It's always rewarding to see wood products from our operations become part of something that will serve students and the community.

Thank you to Eastern Montgomery High School for allowing us to be a part of it!

They may not get much attention, but pallets help keep products moving every day.

From manufacturing facilities and warehouses to trucks and distribution centers, the right pallet provides the foundation for moving products safely and efficiently through the supply chain.

At Blackberry Pallet, we're proud to manufacture hardwood pallets that help our customers keep their products and their businesses moving.

Not a bad way to start the day. 🌅

A few early-morning views from across The Turman Group.

Different facilities, different operations, and another day getting underway here in Southwest Virginia.

Thanks to our team members for sharing these views from the job!

Thank you, Iron Heart Winery, for the kind words and for choosing Turman Hardwood Flooring for your farmhouse project!

We're proud to manufacture Appalachian hardwood flooring right here in Southwest Virginia, and it's always especially rewarding to see our products being used close to home.

A great weekend with Virginia's forest products community! 🌲

Josh Bond and Jeremiah Hawley represented The Turman Group at the Virginia Forest Products Association Annual Convention, where Josh had the opportunity to serve as a keynote speaker.

It was great to see Virginia State Forester Terry Lasher and Deputy Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Ben Rowe in attendance as well.

A big thank you to Lesley Moseley, Susan Seward, and the VFPA for the work they do throughout the year to represent and support Virginia's forest products industry.

We're proud to be part of such a strong industry here in the Commonwealth!
