Tax Debt Relief Group Tax Debt Relief Group: IRS tax debt resolution — back taxes, unfiled returns, levies & more. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards.

We have helped 100's of tax payers save millions of dollars in penalties and interest as an enrolled agent I have the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns. If you or someone you know has IRS or state tax issues, Business or Personal or has not filed a tax return for years here is some info that can help. www.taxdebthelpguide.com

As an Enrolled agent, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), we have unlimited practice rights. This means we are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before.

Have years of tax returns you never filed? Read this before you do anything else.

I know how it happens. Life gets hard, the envelope from the IRS gets harder to open, and you tell yourself you will catch up next year. I filed every year until I did not, and I went six years without filing my own returns. When I finally filed them, I owed $22,000 plus penalties and interest. I had thought it would be a small number. I did not understand how fast penalties and interest add up.

The IRS requires all returns that are due to be filed, even when full payment is not possible, and filing is usually the first step toward any solution.

In a free consultation, I go through your unfiled years with you and tell you where you stand.

What changes the day you hire us? You stop talking to the IRS yourself.

Once you sign a power of attorney, I can speak to the IRS for you, pull your account transcripts, and respond to the letters. The relief often starts right there, before anything is resolved, because the calls and the guessing stop.

I am Peter Kici, an Enrolled Agent here in Orlando and a Marine Corps veteran. I was behind on my own returns once, so none of this is a judgment call for me. In a free consultation, I listen first and tell you where you stand.

Self-employed? This is how an old IRS balance quietly turns into a new one.

Nobody withholds tax from a 1099 or a shop's profit. The IRS expects estimated payments during the year, generally four times a year. Skip them, and April brings a balance plus an underpayment penalty, on top of whatever was already owed. It matters even more on a payment plan, because staying current on this year's taxes is generally part of keeping that plan in good standing.

In a free consultation, Peter Kici, EA, goes through your old balance and this year's estimates with you and tells you where you stand.

"I signed the joint return, so I am stuck with the whole bill." Not always.

When a joint return understated the tax because of a spouse's income or deductions, the other spouse may qualify for innocent spouse relief or a related form of relief that separates their liability. Timing matters. Some forms of this relief generally must be requested within two years of the IRS's first collection activity, so waiting to see what happens can cost the option. It is requested on Form 8857, and the facts have to support it.

In a free consultation, Peter Kici, EA, goes through your joint return with you and tells you where you stand.

Moved in the last few years? The IRS may still be writing to your old address.

The IRS mails notices to your last known address, which is generally the one on your most recently filed return. A notice sent there can still start a legal deadline, even if you never saw it. People find out about a levy or a missed appeal window this way. Form 8822 is the IRS change-of-address form.

In a free consultation, Peter Kici, EA, goes through what the IRS has on file for you and tells you where you stand.

If you have not filed in a while, the IRS may have already filed for you. Just not in your favor.

It is called a Substitute for Return. The IRS builds it from the W-2s and 1099s it has on file, and it generally does not include the deductions, credits or filing status you might have claimed. That is why the balance on those letters can look so much bigger than you expected. In most cases your own return can still replace it, and getting filed is where every other option starts.

In a free consultation, Peter Kici, EA, goes through the years the IRS has on file and tells you where you stand.

Some IRS penalties can be removed just for having a clean record.

It is called First-Time Abatement. If you had no significant penalties in the three years before, you have filed the returns you are currently required to file, and you have paid or arranged to pay what you owe, the IRS may take off a failure to file, failure to pay or failure to deposit penalty for one year.

It is not automatic. It has to be requested. And the interest charged on a removed penalty generally comes off with it. (407) 531-8705

Who is actually allowed to speak to the IRS for you?

Not everyone who prepares taxes can. An Enrolled Agent is a federally authorized tax practitioner with unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS, on any tax matter, at any IRS office. That covers collections, audits and appeals, not just filing.

I am Peter Kici, EA, and that is the work we do here in Orlando. Once you sign a power of attorney, the IRS calls come to me instead of you. (407) 531-8705

Tax Debt Relief Group is a local Orlando practice, and it is personal for me.

I am Peter Kici, an Enrolled Agent and a Marine Corps veteran, and I once went through my own stretch of unfiled returns. I know the dread of the unopened envelope, and I know what it takes to get from there to filed and current. I have spent more than five years helping Central Florida taxpayers do exactly that.

If you are behind, you are not the exception, and you are not a lost cause. (407) 531-8705

Owing the IRS does not always mean paying it all at once.

For many people, a payment plan is possible. And once a payment plan request is pending, and while an approved plan is in place, the IRS generally cannot levy your wages or bank account.

The plan has to fit what you can actually afford, and staying current on future returns and payments is part of the deal. Picking one that does not fit is how people end up in default a year later. (407) 531-8705
