๐ This past week, I had the opportunity to attend my annual NATP Tax Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. Every year, I look forward to continuing my education, learning about tax law changes and updates, and finding new ways to better serve my amazing clients and our community. โค๏ธ
๐ค One of my favorite parts of my job is meeting with clients, having meaningful conversations, helping them navigate the tax world, and finding every opportunity to save them money.
๐ One of the best classes for me this year was "Burnout to Balance." I think burnout is something every single one of us experience more often than we'd like, and the key is learning how to create balance. Whether it's in business or our personal lives. Finding that balance is essential. ๐ผ In the tax and accounting profession, burnout is something we all face, especially during tax season. This class was packed with practical tips on creating a healthier balance, and I absolutely loved the instructor's energy and passion. Honestly, I could have listened to her for an eight-hour class! ๐คโจ
๐ฑ She talked about the importance of setting clear boundaries with clients, friends, and family, having productive client conversations and appointments, implementing effective office systems, and continually developing the strengths of your team. Those are all things that are always a work in progress, no matter who you are or what you do.
๐ I truly enjoy continuing my education each year because I never want to stop learning and growing. My goal is to be the very best I can be for my clients. I know I won't be perfectโI'll make mistakes, just like everyone elseโbut every experience is an opportunity to learn, improve, and become better.
๐ซ This was a pack filled week. Met a lot of new people. Mary Holder Woollard and I were also invited by a vendor for a private Michelin star dinner. The food was out of site! Met some really amazing tax pros and simply enjoyed ourselves!
๐ So keep moving forward. Rise above the challenges. Make today productive, meaningful, and full of joy.
๐ And before the day is over, ask yourself: How can you make someone smile today?
โ๏ธ Enjoy the sunshine, and I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
