Ag Literacy County Volunteer Training

Do you imagine ag in your local classrooms? Are you interested in impactful ag literacy efforts but not quite sure how to make it happen? Then join us, August 3, from 9:30 am-3:30 pm, for a one-day training to equip you with skills and resources to engage with youth in your community!

The Advocacy in Action Award recognizes an Ohio Farm Bureau member who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to agricultural advocacy. This individual embodies the spirit of leadership, initiative, and commitment to advancing agriculture in Ohio.

Please submit nominations by August 10, 2026 at ofb.ag/2026advocacyinactionawardnomination. Applicants must be a member of a county Farm Bureau,18 years of age, and not currently serving as a trustee of the state board.

Growing Tomorrow Grant

The 2025 Growing Tomorrow Grant was awarded to Clover Valley Farms in Clermont County. The grant funds will be used to restore a dilapidated dairy barn on the property, which will serve as a much-needed community gathering space and accelerate the farm’s long-term goals by an estimated 10 years. Data centers, brownfield remediation top-of-mind for members
"It's our job to try to find out-of-the-box ways to reduce pressure on farmland," said Ohio Farm Bureau Director of State Policy Evan Callicoat. "Brownfield remediation is one of them. It doesn't scream agriculture, but it's significant, trying to locate large industrial projects where all the utilities and infrastructure are already there instead of on farmland."
