We are a small, but busy, remote accounting firm with clients in many different industries; from nonprofit to construction, legal to child care and everything in between. We are looking for a full charge bookkeeper with a high knowledge of bookkeeping on both QB desktop and QBO, who is ready to hit the ground running.

Requirements:
* Must be able to do full charge bookkeeping and payroll, including:
• Download/hand key transactions (bank, credit
card, loan, etc)
• Code and reconcile
• Process payroll on QB desktop and QBO
- Process quarterly and animal payroll reports
on QB desktop and QBO
- Manually process quarterly and annual payroll
reports
- Process W2s
• Run client reports (workers comp, AR, AP, P&L,
Balance Sheet, etc.)
• Job cost and Class code
* Self starter
* Multitasker
* Enjoys bookkeeping
* Able to work remotely with minimal supervision

Experience:
* This is not an entry level position
* Non-profit (preferred, but not required)
* Multi state union dues (preferred, but not required)
* High level of QB and QBO knowledge

With 2019 deadlines approaching quick, we thought it would be a good idea to remind everyone - if you aren’t going to have your taxes done by the deadline file your extension now. That way you avoid late filing fees and late payment penalties.

Although we do no do tax returns here at Redwood, we are always happy to refer you to some great CPA’s in the Portland area.

If you are preparing your taxes yourself and need some information on filing an extension, we can provide some great links on how to file the extensions yourself.

Please remember that filing an extension does not extend your deadline to make tax payments.

As always we are happy to help with any and all bookkeeping needs.
We are still taking on clients who need 2019 clean up and review (will need to still file extension).

December is a beautiful time filled with family, friends, activities, and special memory making.
