Happy 2022 to all of our Clients, Friends and Family.

Please check your email (if Married Filing Joint the email would have gone to the Taxpayer email we have on file)...we recently sent out 2021 Tax Year Engagement Letters and Questionnaires via DocuSign from Kimmel & Associates.

Just a quick update. Due to the pandemic, along with the signing of the American Rescue Plan signed last week, the tax deadline has been move out a month from April 15th to May 17th.

The tax software providers have not yet rolled out the update to reflect the $10,200 unemployment benefit exclusion.

We will keep you updated and keep moving forward on tax preparation.

The IRS has already received more than 55 million tax returns.

If you didn't get a stimulus check, or you didn't get the full amount, you may be able to claim the recovery rebate credit on your 2020 tax return.

The IRS has fixed their website for "Get My Payment". You can now input your bank account info for direct deposit of the stimulus payment.

Tax stimulus checks will come soon.

Single filers get $1,200 with phase out to $0 between $75k and $99k AGI.

MFJ filers get $2,400 plus $500 per child with phase out between $150k and $198k AGI.

HOH filers get $1,200 plus $500 per child with phase out between $112k and $160k.

If you haven't filed 2019, they will use 2018 information.
