💰 You could retire with $1 MILLION… and still run out of money.
Sounds crazy, doesn't it?
But here's something I've learned working with people approaching retirement:
Having a million dollars saved and having a million-dollar retirement PLAN are two very different things.
Think about it.
For decades, people retired with pensions. They knew exactly how much money was coming in every month, regardless of what the stock market was doing.
Today? Most retirees are on their own.
You've spent 30 or 40 years contributing to your 401(k), IRA, and other investments.
But now comes the hard part…
How do you turn that money into a reliable paycheck that lasts for the rest of your life?
And what happens if the stock market crashes right after you retire?
That's where retirement income planning becomes so important.
👇 LET ME GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE:
Let's say you and your spouse want $8,000 per month to enjoy retirement.
Between the two of you, Social Security provides $4,000.
That means your investments need to generate another $4,000 per month.
That's $48,000 every year!
Now the question becomes:
Can we create that income without taking unnecessary investment risk, and can we make it last for 25 or 30 years?
That's what a comprehensive retirement income plan is designed to address.
Sometimes that means using a portion of your savings to create guaranteed lifetime income through an annuity.
Other times, it means adjusting your investment strategy, withdrawal plan, or Social Security claiming decisions.
The point is this: Retirement isn't just about how much money you've saved. It's about how much INCOME that money can produce!
🎥 In this video, I'm sharing Step 1 of my 7 Steps to Retirement Success, where we discuss creating a retirement paycheck you can depend on.
💬 LET ME ASK YOU SOMETHING:
When you think about retirement, which concerns you more?
💵 Not having enough money saved?
📉 Or running out of money after you've already retired?
I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
