This week, we’ve highlighted some of the many ways Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers work to protect children and help keep our schools safe.
During the week, troopers logged more than 1700 checks and school zone enforcement initiatives in all 95 Tennessee counties.
From meeting with school resource officers and school leaders, to enforcing school zones and inspecting school buses, that commitment extends far beyond the first weeks of a new school year. It is a year-round mission.
And it is happening across Tennessee.
As you can see from the map, THP troopers are serving communities statewide, from farthest west city to farthest east where we posted.
Whether students are riding the bus, walking into school or traveling through a school zone, our troopers are working alongside local partners to help keep Tennessee’s children safe.
The school year may have just begun, but our commitment to their safety never takes a day off.
