Not sure what to expect when you come to a VITA site?

Here’s how it works:

This is a drop-off service, not same-day filing.

You’ll be greeted and checked in
Your documents will be reviewed and securely collected
Our IRS-certified volunteers prepare your return
You’ll be contacted to review and sign before filing

This process allows us to take our time and ensure your return is accurate.

To make your visit smooth, bring:

Photo ID
Social Security cards (or ITIN letters)
All income documents (W-2s, 1099s)
Bank account info for direct deposit

Due to the high volume of last-minute customers using our free VITA services, we want to set clear expectations:

We cannot guarantee that all returns will be submitted to the IRS by the April 15 deadline.

Here’s what you should know:

✔️ If your return results in a refund or $0 owed, you will not be penalized for filing after the deadline.
✔️ If you owe taxes, penalties may apply—but we are prioritizing those returns to help meet the deadline when possible.
