He is an alumnus of The Citadel, The Military College of SC, a member of Shandon Baptist Church, a father to three children, and a resident of Forest Acres, SC. He
has over two decades of industry experience that has endured the 2001 attack on the Twin Towers, the War on Terror, the Great Recession of 2008, and the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. As his financial practice grew, he founded Accumulus Financial Group, LLC. Jamie met the CFP Board’s rigorous qualifications to use the Certified Financial Planner™ credential in 2008, one of the most well regarded credentials in the industry. He also has the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor designation. Jamie’s spouse, Leah, helps provide Accumulus with additional support for families with special needs. Leah holds a PhD in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She has over 15 years of experience helping families with special needs in a clinical setting, the public sector, and the private sector. Jamie is an active member of Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia, SC, and serves as an usher, a member of its diaconate, and is on the Board of Directors of the Shandon Counseling Center. He also volunteers his time assisting SC United, the local soccer club where his boys play. He is a member of a local BNI Chapter and previously served as the chapter's Vice President. He is also a lifetime member of the Citadel Alumni Association. Past community service includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of SC from 2018-2022 (including a rotation as its Vice President), serving on the Board of a local Home Owner's Association, and being a founding member of a Kiwanis Chapter. Jamie’s other interests include reading, history, traveling, and technology.
