Tax season officially kicks off January 26, however, tax forms do not have to be postmarked until January 31. As a result, we strongly suggest waiting to file until you are sure you have received everything; some investment statements have a later postmark date. Filing without all the appropriate tax forms will result in an amended tax return to be filed, at an additional cost.

Under new tax laws, we are also strongly encouraging taxpayers to bring in final pay stubs for 2025 so we can capture overtime earnings for an additional tax deduction.

IRS has announced they will begin accepting 2024 tax returns beginning Monday January, 27.

Just like in previous years, those claiming some deductions/credits could have delayed refund times.

Office hours will resume back to “normal” Monday February 3rd from 9-5 Monday through Friday.

We are always accepting new clients and continue to thank those who support our local business.

Here is your friendly reminder!

Please remember that an extension only grants an additional 6 months to file, not to pay. If you know you will owe money, we highly recommend making payments with both the IRS and state tax agencies.

Due the anticipated weather predictions, we expect to be closed both tomorrow, Thursday February 3rd and possibly Friday February 4th. We apologize for the inconvenience, however, our priority is to keep both our clients and employees safe. We are open today until 5:00.

IRS will begin accepting tax returns on January 24, 2022.

Unemployment forms (1099G) will have to be retrieved online again.

Please make sure you have ALL of your tax forms before filing as it could delay refunds and require amendments if not.

An important read regarding tax returns this year:

IR-2021-243, December 7, 2021 — The Internal Revenue Service today encouraged taxpayers to take important actions this month to help them file their federal tax returns in 2022, including special steps related to Economic Impact Payments and advance Child Tax Credit payments.
