Central Ohio Tax Club started 3 years ago when the Ohio Society of CPA’s decided to no longer sponsor networking and monthly CPE for small practitioners. We have been meeting as a group for 20+ years. Tim Oatney of Oatney and Associates has been the president for a long time and he always gets excellent speakers and has timely topics. We always meet the 3rd Thursday of the month and we are currently meeting at LA Catering, 670 Harmon Ave, Columbus Ohio. We have a social hour, dinner and then 2 hours of professional continuing education issued by the Ohio Accountancy Board. Cost is $50 per meeting. You can joint annually for $400 and you get 12 meetings. Members get to bring other members of their form for the discounted rate of $40. We normally have 2-3 hour Tax Update in December and 2 hour form update in January of each year. We have speakers on state, local and other topics which are relevant to tax practitioners. The meetings are central outside the downtown area and there is plenty of parking and the food is great. Come join us and see for yourself.
