We'll be there! Will you? 😊

Washington, we’re less than a week away!

On September 28–29, the EO Capital Roadmap Roadshow is coming to Seattle for two days of conversations, connections, and practical ideas for growing employee ownership co-hosted with the Washington Center for Employee Ownership (WACEO).

Day 1 | September 28 - Inside Employee Ownership

We’ll kick things off at Mētis Construction with a site visit and tour, followed by a conversation featuring worker-owners and leaders from Mētis Construction, Pidgin, Red Dot Distribution, Triple Bottom Line Construction, Seattle Gymnastics Academy, Capitol City Press, and A1DesignBuild.

We’ll dig into the realities of running an employee-owned company, what’s working, what’s challenging, and what other business leaders can learn from their experiences.

Then we’ll keep the conversation going with an evening networking reception.

Day 2 | September 29 - Building the EO Ecosystem

Day two takes a broader look at what it will take to scale employee ownership across Washington.

We’ll explore:

🌟The emerging EO capital market with Alison Lingane
🌟How policy can advance employee ownership with WACEO and Roy Messing
🌟The different forms of capital available to EO businesses with Brian Boland, Mauri Ingram, and Rob Meussner, CFA
🌟Real-world investable EO opportunities featuring Seed Commons East, Nathan Britton, Unlock Ownership, and Red Dot

A big thank-you to our local advisors, Molly Harmon, AlTi Tiedemann Global, Humanize Wealth, and Delta Fund, and to Humanize Wealth for sponsoring the Roadshow.

If employee ownership, succession, capital, economic development, or building stronger local business ecosystems is part of your work, we’d love to have you in the room.

Important: This is a two-part event, and each day requires separate registration.

🚗 Our final stop on the WACEO-Inland outreach roadshow brought us to Republic, WA.

Located in Ferry County with a population of just under 1,000, Republic is surrounded by the Colville National Forest and the Colville Confederated Tribes Reservation. It’s a place where you truly feel connected to the forest and wilderness, with the town comfortably nestled into its natural surroundings.

We spent the day exploring the community, visiting local businesses, hanging flyers, and sharing outreach resources with business owners and community support organizations.

We were also fortunate that our friends at the Tri-County Economic Development District were hosting a workshop the same day. We attended Fire Up Your Food Business and had meaningful conversations about economic development efforts in small communities like Republic. 🌲

☀️We blinked and somehow it’s already been a week since we were in Twisp, WA!

WACEO-Inland’s Regional Advocate Emily joined our friends at the Washington Center for Employee Ownership at TwispWorks, where we were invited to co-present on employee ownership models.

Huge thank you to for hosting us and bringing together business owners and community members from the Methow Valley to learn, connect, and engage around employee ownership.

These kinds of outreach partnerships are exactly what help expand awareness of the tools, resources, and support available for business transitions — helping preserve local businesses, jobs, and community wealth for the long term.

If your community would benefit from a presentation on employee ownership, we’d love to connect! ✨

🚙 Joined by the Washington Center for Employee Ownership’s Director, Patricia Kwan, we traveled town to town from our presentation in Twisp through rural North Central and Northeastern Washington.

Along the way, we stopped in some of the most charming communities — many with a local food co-op serving as an anchor point and gathering space.

Our second day brought us to Colville, WA for our Community Spaces event, where we were joined by friends from Tri-County Economic Development District, Colville Better Together, and Ola Aina Farm for a thoughtful conversation around business succession, economic opportunity, rural resources and services, barriers to entrepreneurship, and so much more.

Employee ownership is just one tool in a much larger toolbox of creative economic supports. Much of our time in community extends beyond ownership models and into broader conversations about shared resources, local capacity, long-term resilience, and community impact. The shared ownership sector is uniquely positioned to help steward these conversations in meaningful ways.

Huge thanks to Fired Up Brewing for hosting us in their space and helping create a welcoming environment for connection and conversation.

If your community would benefit from a Community Spaces event to explore where employee ownership fits within your unique economic landscape, we’d love to connect! ✨
