UPDATED HOURS AND POLICIES
We are open and continuing to accept drop offs for previous and new clients. We have been promoting the stay at home order issued by the Governor and have not been notifying clients when their return is complete. We will begin notifying clients beginning May 18th, however, if you are out you may pick your return up. In an effort to promote social distancing and to promote the safety of clients and staff we are implementing a gradual reopening of the office. As we reopen, we ask that you maintain social distancing procedures and STAY AT HOME IF YOU AREN'T FEELING WELL.

Our hours and procedures are as follows:
May 8, 11, 13 and 15
-Hours 9-5
-Office closed to public
-Please knock on door and a member of the staff will assist you

May 18th through June 12th
- Hours Mondays and Fridays 9-5 (Closed for lunch 12-1)
-Wednesdays by appointment only
-Office will reopen to public 1 client at a time
(MASK MUST BE WORN))
-If no mask is worn, we will assist client on porch

June 15th through June 30th
-Hours Mondays and Fridays 9:30- 4:30
(Closed for lunch 12:30-1:30)
Office open to public. Please practice social distancing
-Wednesdays by appointment only
-Masks optional

July 1st through 15th
-Hours Monday through Friday 9:30-4:30
(Closed for lunch 12:30-1:30)
-Office open to public

July 20th through December 31st
-Office will resume normal summer hours
-Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9:30-4:30
(Closed for lunch 12:30-1:30)

The office may be closed on certain days for Holidays or vacations during these times. Known closed dates at this time are May 25th (Memorial Day) & July 3rd (Independence Day).

As we transition to reopening, PLEASE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING to protect yourself , other clients and staff. We are asking that you enter by the steps and exit down the ramp. WE ARE OPEN!! Just a reminder that we are open for business. Our temporary office hours are 9-5 Monday through Friday and 9-Noon on Saturday. In an effort to promote the Governor's "Stay at Home" orders, we are not notifying clients when their return is complete. However, if you are out for other essential reasons you may stop by and pick up your return. No one is being allowed in the office. All transactions will be done using a sanitized clipboard on the front porch. Please have payment ready when coming to sign.

We are still accepting drop offs for both existing clients and new clients. If you are a new client please have a copy of last years return, birthdates, and a telephone number along with the necessary tax documents. For existing clients please update your phone number if it has changed. Please knock on the door and a staff member will reach out and take your package from you. All items entering and leaving the office are being disinfected.

It was announced earlier this week that taxpayer's that normally aren't required to file a tax return will NOT be required to file a simple form to receive the stimulus check. The check will be delivered automatically by the same means that social security is paid.

PLEASE STAY AT HOME IF POSSIBLE. If you must get out practice social distancing, stay 6 feet apart. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times.

The IRS and Indiana DOR has extended the tax filing deadline and time to pay until July, 15, 2020. However, taxpayers are encouraged to file their tax returns by the April 15, 2020 deadline if possible. Especially if a refund is due.

Please use caution if you decide to delay filing or paying your taxes. Many tax firms use seasonal help and may not be able to meet the last minute rush if too many taxpayers wait until July. If you are a business owner waiting to pay income tax along with payroll tax for two quarters that will be due in July,this could put a financial strain on your business. Plan accordingly.

As a reminder, we at Diana Weiler Income Tax remain open at this time. We ask that only two clients enter the office at a time. Please practice social distancing when entering or exiting the office. If you are sick or may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus DO NOT ENTER THE OFFICE AND STAY HOME. If you are concerned about coming into the office please call us at 765-827-0032 for alternate drop off and pick-up methods.

CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)
*AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CDC (CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL) AND ISDH (INDIANA STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH) TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS AND AFTER CONSULTING WITH OTHER AREA ACCOUNTING FIRMS, DIANA WEILER INCOME TAX IS TAKING THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS:

1. ALL APPOINTMENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.
*IF YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED,
PLEASE DROP OFF YOUR TAX INFORMATION ON
YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT DAY.
*OUR OFFICE WILL CALL IF THERE ARE QUESTIONS
CONCERNING YOUR TAX RETURN.
*OUR OFFICE WILL NOTIFY YOU WHEN YOUR
RETURN IS COMPLETE AND READY FOR PICK UP.

2. IN AN EFFORT TO MINIMIZE EXPOSURE TO THE COMMUNITY, OUR CLIENTS AND OUR STAFF WE ASK THAT ONLY TWO CLIENTS ENTER THE OFFICE AT A TIME. IF YOU COME TO DROP OFF OR PICK UP AND THERE ARE MORE THAN TWO CLIENTS IN THE OFFICE PLEASE WAIT IN YOUR VEHICHLE OR RETURN AT A DIFFERENT TIME.

3. IF YOU ARE SICK OR HAVE AN INCREASED RISK OF HAVING COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE COVID-19 VIRUS, PLEASE SELF ISOLATE AND DO NOT ENTER THE OFFICE.

*IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW HAVE SYMPTOMS (FEVER, COUGH, SHORTNESS OF BREATH) RELATING TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS PLEASE REFRAIN FROM ENTERING THE OFFICE.

4. IF YOU ARE IN ONE OF THE HIGH RISK CATEGORIES (OLDER ADULTS, HEART DISEASE, DIABETES, LUNG DISEASE) OR FEEL SUSCEPTIBLE TO CONTRACTING THE COVID-19 VIRUS,PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE TO MAKE ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS FOR DROP OFF OR PICK UP.
